Each year, the St. Joseph’s Community Foundation awards Educational Grants to deserving students who in return agree to work at the local hospital fulltime for one year. Since its inception in 2003, the Foundation has awarded over $500,000 to help students. The Foundation has established two yearly cycles of accepting applications for these grants. The deadline for submission for Summer and Fall semester funding is generally in May. The deadline for the Spring semester funding in November.

To be eligible for an educational grant, a student must be enrolled or have recently been accepted into a nursing or allied healthcare program. A student must also submit GPA and financial need information including the EFC (Estimated Family Contribution) from the FAFSA (Free Application for Federal Student Aid).
